NEVER
A Poem

Golden eagles soar as sandy dunes sweep from the ground up,
broken angels fall from the sky with promises of riches and fame,
farmers watch the sun glow as sky offers it’s trade of rain,
lilies of the valley enjoy breath and whisper, boldly, into the grass below,
jovial, but because of the shade, downtrodden and lacking in magic.
Leaves become entrenched in muddy waters, hope floats,
existence is absent in silence, wretched games that people play,
consistency is bearable, most likely observable in routine,
bare flesh is insidious in the harshest of circumstances,
it ignites for moments and then, disappears.
It’s unfair.
Life staring back at you, jostling with words, white washing,
comfort creeps over the understanding of the tell all,
young and free, listening to the far side of the loon’s call,
it longs, that’s for sure.
Striking an army full of placebo,
we feel better after purchasing replacements,
we regain our confidence after the hips give birth to new life,
whales in the great ocean sing tunes underwater,
combing beaches with a fine tooth pick; it makes no sense.
Brother, have you tried advancement|?
